Responsibilities

Essential Functions (but are not limited to):

  • Process complex, high-volume, multi-state payroll for multiple locations on a bi-weekly basis; validate payroll data to ensure accuracy and completeness by performing audits and quality checks.
  • Review, verify and input time records for over 700+ associates on a weekly basis utilizing UKG (Ultipro) Software.
  • Process terminations, wage garnishments, direct deposits, and maintaining accurate and up to date associate payroll records.
  • Issue manual checks as required in compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Works closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding paychecks, W-2s, deductions, and related payroll reports in a timely manner.
  • Research and resolve complex payroll issues and participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain payroll records and support documentation in accordance with company policy.
  • Process employment verifications as requested.
  • Recommend for process improvements to the Payroll Manager to enhance accuracy, efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3 years of multi-state payroll experience
  • UKG payroll software experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all level of associates
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong customer service skills with a collaborative team-oriented approach
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively and operate standard office equipment
  • Occasional lifting; may involve lifting files or boxes weighing up to 10-25 pounds
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
