We are seeking a creative, tech-savvy Instructional Designer to elevate our learning experiences across the organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on designer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about crafting impactful learning that drives retention, performance, and culture.  This person will leverage instructional design principles and Learning Management System (LMS) technology to create effective e-learning courses, video content, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions. Responsibilities

What your day to day might look like:

  • Design and develop short-form eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline and Rise.
  • Create visually compelling assets in Canva to support digital and in person learning.
  • Build SCORM packages and ensure LMS compatibility.
  • Apply storytelling techniques to enhance learner engagement and retention.
  • Develop supporting materials (job aids, guides, assessments) to reinforce learning.
  • Maintain consistency in tone, branding, and instructional quality across deliverables.
  • Partner with the VP of L&D to support a company-wide shift in training strategy and delivery to align learning with business priorities.
  • Design learning experiences that help teams adopt new tools, processes, and cultural norms.
  • Anticipate learner resistance and build content that fosters buy-in, clarity, and confidence.
  • Contribute to change management communication plans through storytelling and visual design.
  • Facilitate input from regional leaders and subject matter experts to ensure relevance and impact.
  • Build trust across departments by delivering consistent, high-quality learning solutions.
  • Design with measurable outcomes in mind: retention, completion rates, performance lift, and learner satisfaction.
  • Support continuous improvement through learner feedback to iterate and improve content over time.

Qualifications

We're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, instructional development, or corporate training.
  • Proven proficiency or certification in Articulate Storyline and Rise.
  • Strong Canva skills for visual design and branding.
  • Experience building SCORM-compliant content.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply storytelling in instructional design.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM compliance.
  • Strong visual design and multimedia skills, including experience with graphic design and video editing software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Multifamily industry experience preferred but not required.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid role based in Dallas, TX preferred; remote optional
  • Occasional travel required (10-20%) for site-visits, onboarding observations, and stakeholder engagement
  • Fast-paced, high-impact team reporting directly to the VP of L&D
